Weekly Review: Connecting Passes… – NNHSoccerClub

Connecting Passes...

This week was the busiest of the season so far, with teams from 5 different towns visiting us at The Nick. It was certainly a sight to behold; close to 100 players and their families enjoying the beautiful game in glorious Northern NH during the fall season.

Conway Rec were back in town, and provided Wolfe City with another tough test. Both teams played some attractive soccer, with the 'WolfePack' holding on for the narrow 3-2 win.

Charlie Murphy scored a well taken goal at The Nick last week...

Newcomers: Players and "Coacharees"...

Our younger players were also in action this week against newcomers Madison Town & Rec., who we hope to see more of in the coming weeks.

Madison Rec came to visit this week...

The game was played in a fantastic spirit with 3 new 'Coacharees' helping to teach the fundamentals whilst keeping the game flowing.

The game also provided one of the highlights of the week...

Connecting passes...

'The WolfePack U12B' (our younger U12 crew of 9, 10 and 11 year old players) managed to string together 7 passes from 'back to front', switching the field in the process (from right to left) and finished the move off with a shot on goal!!!

Although 'seven connected passes' may sound trivial to some, it is actually not that easy to accomplish at any level of the game, and certainly not often seen during a U12 recreational game between neighboring towns in Northern NH.

Our players and coaches have truly bought into the philosophy that we are developing players with a "Passing and Possession" mentality throughout the ENTIRE club.

EUREKA!!!

Hopefully this style of play will catch on with other local players & teams, as we continue to (re)develop the 'soccer culture' here in the northern region of our state.

See you on the pitch...
